The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth approximately Rs 7300 crores in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. These projects aim to benefit the significant tribal population of the region, strengthen water supply and provisioning of drinking water, and boost the road, rail, power, and education sectors in Madhya Pradesh.
One of the key focus areas of the Prime Minister’s vision of Antyodaya has been ensuring that the benefits of development reach the tribal community. Despite several decades of independence, many sections of the tribal population have not been able to access these benefits. In line with this vision, the Prime Minister dedicated and laid the foundation stone for initiatives that will directly benefit the tribal population of the region.
As part of these initiatives, the Prime Minister disbursed the monthly installment of Aahar Anudan under the Aahar Anudan Yojna to approximately 2 lakh women beneficiaries. This scheme provides Rs 1500 per month for nutritious food to women from specially backward tribes in Madhya Pradesh.
Additionally, the Prime Minister distributed 1.75 lakh adhikar abhilekh (record of rights) to beneficiaries of the SVAMITVA Scheme. This documentation will provide people with evidence of their land rights, empowering them to secure their land ownership.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister transferred Rs 55.9 crores for 559 villages under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana. These funds will be utilized for various construction activities, including the construction of Anganwadi Bhawans, Fair Price Shops, Health Centers, additional rooms in schools, and internal roads, among others.
During the event, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the ‘CM Rise School’ in Jhabua. This school will integrate technology to provide modern facilities such as smart classes and e-library resources to students. Additionally, the foundation stone for the Tantya Mama Bhil University was also laid. This university will cater to the youth from tribal-dominated districts of the state, providing them with educational opportunities.
In addition to these initiatives, the Prime Minister dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone for multiple projects aimed at strengthening water supply and provisioning of drinking water in Madhya Pradesh. One such project is the ‘Talavada Project,’ a drinking water supply scheme that will benefit over a thousand villages in Dhar district.
These initiatives and projects reflect the government’s commitment to inclusive development and uplifting the lives of marginalized communities. By focusing on tribal populations, water supply, education, and infrastructure, the Prime Minister aims to ensure that the benefits of development reach every corner of Madhya Pradesh.
The dedication and foundation stone laying ceremony in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, marks another step towards achieving this goal. With an investment of approximately Rs 7300 crores, these projects will contribute to the overall development of the region and improve the quality of life for its residents.
The Prime Minister’s commitment to reaching the last mile and empowering every citizen is evident in these initiatives. As the projects progress, they will create new opportunities, enhance infrastructure, and improve the overall socio-economic landscape of Madhya Pradesh.
