Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Monumental Development Initiatives in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set for a two-day tour of Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, commencing on February 22nd. The itinerary is packed with several crucial development projects, including inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremonies. The visit aims to bolster various sectors such as road, rail, energy, health, internet connectivity, urban development, and water supply.

Day 1: Gujarat

The journey kicks off with the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad. This grand event is expected to witness the presence of over 1.25 lakh farmers. It serves as a testament to the remarkable success of the cooperative movement in Gujarat.

From there, Prime Minister Modi will proceed to Mahesana, where he will visit the revered Valinath Mahadev Temple and participate in a public function in Tarabh. The day will witness the dedication and initiation of a series of projects valued at over Rs 8,350 crore across Mahesana, Banaskantha, and Ahmedabad districts. These projects encompass vital sectors and will contribute to the overall development of the region.

Navsari will be the next stop, where PM Modi will inaugurate projects worth approximately Rs 17,500 crore. These projects include segments of the Vadodara Mumbai Expressway, rural drinking water supply initiatives, and the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park. Additionally, the Prime Minister will dedicate two new Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) at the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station, reinforcing India’s commitment to clean energy.

Day 2: Uttar Pradesh

On February 23rd, Prime Minister Modi will grace Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, with his presence. The day will witness the inauguration of projects valued at over Rs 13,000 crore, encompassing various sectors such as road connectivity, industrial infrastructure, urban development, tourism, and health and education facilities.

Among the highlights of his visit to Varanasi is the inauguration of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), which will provide a significant boost to the fashion industry in the region. The foundation stone laying ceremony for a new Medical College and National Centre of Ageing at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will further enhance healthcare facilities.

Furthermore, PM Modi will inaugurate various tourism and spiritual projects along the Ganges, promoting religious tourism and preserving the cultural heritage of the region. The visit will also include a prize distribution ceremony at BHU, where the Prime Minister will felicitate winners of various competitions.

During his visit to Varanasi, PM Modi will also visit the Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali temple to inaugurate a newly installed statue of Sant Ravidas. Additionally, he will unveil development works in the vicinity, further enhancing the infrastructure and amenities available to the residents.
